March was the go-live date for a new phaleristic website.The website "Stichting KROON" (Kenniscentrum voor RidderOrden en O nderscheidingen in Nederland - Study Center for Dutch Orders and Decorations) will focus on both the Dutch decorations as well as those who were awarded.
The website is still only in Dutch, but an English version is planned. In the meantime, it is possible to use the 'auto-translation' found in most web browsers.
The site has an almost complete database of orders, decorations and medals from the Netherlands plus a handful of stories about the decorated with more to come.
A monthly newsletter in cooperation with our Dutch sister society Studiekring Ridderorden en Onderscheidingen (SRO) and the museum Museum van de Kanselarij der Nederlandse Orden is also in the pipeline.
