As Philip Jørgensen, the president of OMSD for the last 15 years, wanted to retire from the position, vice president Jan René Westh was elected as new president.Member of the board Lars Stevnsborg was elected as new vice president, and current substitute Anders Vidstrup will join the board.Niels Stevnsborg was elected as new substitute and treasurer Lars Søndergaard was re-elected.
Philip Jørgensen was praised for his great and significant contribution to the Society. Not only has he been very active in organizational terms, but also contributed articles to the OMSD Journal and provided exhibitions and displays at the OMSD events.
There are two major tasks ahead for the new OMSD board: A reception to celebrate the Society's 60-years anniversary in April and hosting the 19th international phaleristic conference in September. The Society hosted a similar conference in 2011.
