The French Legion of Honour got a new Grand Chancellor earlier this year: Army general François Lecointre. He is replacing general Benoît Puga.
A former Grand Chancellor, general Jean-Louis Georgelin, born in 1948, passed away this year. He was Grand Chancellor 2010-16 and was awarded various French and foreign decorations.
Anne de Chefdebien, the head of the Museum of the Legion of Honour, has retired after 34 years in the service of the museum - 26 years as leader of the museum. Her temporary successor is her deputy, Tom Dutheil.
